Recipe Folio

Hey Guys!!!

Have you ever heard of “One pot wonder”? A busy mum or a working mum might have come across this term. Its often hard to balance both work and family and adding kids to the list needs a whole new level of energy and planning.

One pot wonders refer to One pot dishes. The recipes of these dishes suggest us to drop in all the requirement, close the lid and switch the stove on. In 20 mins time, Tada! a healthy snack, lunch or dinner is ready! This is something I love coz its quicker as well as healthier.

Here is a recipe folio I made majorly using the recipe cards that come with the paper pack, Hungry cook and also as free printable on this blog (Now this gives an option of printing out as many as we want)

I have divided the sections in to 4- Desserts, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinnerand each of it can hold up to 15 recipe cards making it 60 recipes over all. The card is more than sufficient for keeping record of one pot dishes (our Indian cuisine especially needs 2 whole pages to write the recipe 😉 but this is one pot and so there is no procedure)

Lets take a look at it.

Mega Tag

Hey guys..

I made these mega tags for a craft swap with a crafty buddy, Apexa Nagar.. 🙂 She is super cool at making mixed media art pieces and I totally loved what she had sent me:-)

I really hope she likes these.

I have watercoloured the background and have used hand made flowers 🙂 The sentiment is from Casual Friday stamps …

Today, I am going to share a love themed album that I made using some paper stash…

Colourful, fabric covered and wiro bound book..

I used some of of the cute embellishments that i bought while in Korea (It felt like giving away a piece of my heart!!)

Thanks a lot for taking a look!!

Craftreat’s Mini scrap

This is my first time buying craftreat papers and I must say they are incredible!!!

I have used Cute Cuddly Boy for my recent project and I had a great time working with it.

What I like about the paper pack:

  1. The papers are of great quality
  2. Lovely prints (Especially that of a baby sleeping on a moon)
  3. Not the usual “baby boy” bluish colours but shades of yellow, green and brown.
  4. Pre-cut Tags – Now that is something very thoughtful!

What I think could have been better:

  1. The colour is typically not the same as whats in the cover (Probably because of different media used). Nevertheless they are subtle and beautiful.

NOTE: There is a pattern paper which records all of the baby’s “firsts” and the paper has been printed trice like the rest of it. I found this of not much use to me as I ended up making only one scrapbook but for those who make many out of one paper pack, this is going to be a hit.

Over all, I LOVED IT!

Here is what I made

Post Cards

Casual Friday post cards

Its been long since I had posted in my blog. The entire month had been rough with kids falling ill almost every other week.

Mehwish has been going to school on her own for the past week and it is such a relief. I am getting enough time to craft and have some “me” time, But I miss her terribly (Though its only for 3 hours a day)

Well, coming back to the post. I have made some post cards with Casual Friday stamps that I got as a gift voucher after winning a lucky draw at Time out challenge. Being new to stamping, I did not have appropriate inks so I wanted to try something new.. I applied a thick coat of watercolour and stamped the sentiments on to the post card. I totally loved the effect!!

All of the post cards are painted 🙂 and are off to some crafty friends…
